Tom Nelson is a designer and academic. Having completed degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Consumer Product Design, Tom co-founded the design studio Hundreds Tens Units in 2009.
Launching at the London Design Festival, their first collection of furniture and homewares met with critical acclaim. Tom’s work has been featured in a number of International publications including Monocle, Wallpaper*, The World of Interiors and Gestalten’s Once Upon a Chair.
Having initially begun teaching to support his design practice in 2008, Tom is now a full-time tutor: Lecturer in Product and Interior Design at Coventry University and Associate Lecturer in Three-Dimensional Design & Architecture at Central Saint Martins in London. When not teaching, researching or consulting, he aspires to design and make simple, beautiful, useful products.
