Dr. Hua Guo
MY RESEARCH VISION
Metrology has been considered as a significant added value activity to increase manufacturing competitiveness and reduce production costs. It has also been recognized as an important validation and development tool for research.
The science behind measurement is fascinating, I would like to approach it through considerable measurement exercises and metrology related research activities.
BIOGRAPHY
Hua Guo gained his first BSc. in Mechanical engineering and automation at Nanjing University of Science and Tech., P.R. China, then he came to the UK, where he achieved his MSc. in Automotive Engineering at Coventry University. At Coventry, he was also rewarded with a PhD in Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, the research area was finite element modelling, simulation and analysis on Aircraft tyre and rubber-like materials.
Hua currently works as a research assistant in metrology, test and development for MME and the Institute for Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering (AME). His knowledge and experiences in engineering have extended to metrology, measurement uncertainty, dimensional measurement (NPL lv1, lv2), CMM programming, portable measurement instrument and large volume measurement devices such as measurement arm and laser trackers.
