Do you want to train to teach in Northern Ireland?

Coventry University's National Institute of Teaching and Education offers school-based initial teacher training (ITT) with high quality, flexible, online delivery and learning meaning that you can achieve your ambition to qualify as a teacher without leaving Northern Ireland.

We are accredited by the UK Department of Education to offer international Qualified Teacher Status (iQTS). Our PGCE with iQTS for Northern Ireland is recognised by the General Teaching Council for Northern Ireland, leading to teacher registration within the province. It will also provide excellent professional development and enable you to teach in England should you wish to.

If our course pages have left you with questions about course content or the admissions process, this event is an opportunity to put them to our course team.

On booking you will receive an informative video that we ask you to watch before the event to help you prepare your questions.

Live Events

This November we are excited to be holding two face-to-face events in Northern Ireland for all classroom assistants, teachers and school senior leaders.

If you are able to attend in either Belfast or Derry/Londonderry, you will have opportunity to hear from NITE course leads, current trainees and academic leaders about our flexible and school-based teacher training and professional development courses and put your questions to the team.
