Suyang Li



Dr Suyang Li is a lecturer in finance at Coventry University London. Prior to joining the university in 2022, he was a teaching assistant at the University of Nottingham. His module covers corporate finance, green and sustainable finance, modern theory of finance and research method. He is also the module leader of postgraduate dissertation. He was course director for Level-4 students of BSc Financial Economics and Banking in 2022 and deputy course director for MSc Global Finance in 2022.

Research and Consultancy

His research focuses on the conflict of interests between shareholders and non-shareholder stakeholders (with a particular focus on debtholders, employees, and political institutions) and aims to explore the motivations behind a firm’s decision and corresponding consequences. His current research topics cover corporate finance, institutional investors, and political economy.
