Andrew has a BSc in Chemistry from Strathclyde and is a registered Chartered Chemist with the Royal Society of Chemistry (MRSC C.Chem). He started his career working for the British Antarctic Survey as a Glaciologist collecting and analysing ice-cores from the Antarctic Peninsula for traces of climatic and pollution markers. Subsequently he was Quality Assurance manager for GlaxoWellcome (Now GSK) Pharmaceuticals and then spent 10 years working as a Scientist and Manager at the Forensic Science Service Ltd. He was recently appointed to the Management Board of the Forensic Institute Research Network (FIRN).
