Word-processing with Word

Introduction

How To Use:

This web site is designed to help students improve their word-processing skills. It is based on Microsoft Word 97 but most material will apply to other versions of Word.

It is not intended that you cover all the material here. You might want to find three, or so, exercises which cover skills which are new to you and complete those. The 'Exercise Selector' will help you identify exercises to suit your skills.

Taking this web site home:

All the files involved in this web site are available for copying onto a floppy disc. Use the sequence of buttons and options

<Start button><MIS Applications><Util><Common Data><108IS> and copying all the files from directory 'Word'

You are welcome to do this to work at home but you must respect the copyright on this work

Printing Comments:

For some exercises you'll find it easiest to print off a paper copy of the exercise and to work from that. However additonal help is available through the online system.

Some exercises don't print helpfully on low-spec systems.  (In particular the full width of some examples may not print on inkjet printers.)  They should all work fine though when printed at the University
