It is incumbent on all module staff to bring forward any issues outside their control or responsibility to the Head of Department as soon as possible. They should not wait for the end-of-year report to do so. |

A minumum standard for the use of WebCT was established. This applies to all MIS modules. All modules should provide staff names and and contact details, assessment and teching schedules, statement on use of WebCT (particularly the Discussion) and coursework marks. The intention was that scripts will all be subjected to 'beta checking' - checking the completeness of marking and the arithmetic. This would be undertaken by staff other than lecturers. See Module Internal Moderation (Word document) (This can't be implemented for the forseeable future)

The SQG decided that it is helpful to annually survey the amount of staff time devoted to coursework assessment. Therefore staff will be asked to provide the necessary details. This is important in the effort to reduce the workloads involved.
In addition, from 1999-2000, the SQG decided it would be helpful to extend this to include examination-marking workloads.

Prior to 2001/2 there was a separate M2 module report form for modules with a low pass rate. The obsolete proforma for report M2 was at swift../Restricted/Forms/M2.htm.
