English Language and British Culture - Advanced Level

The English Language and British Culture (Advanced Level) programme is suitable for you if you are more confident with the English language. This programme will support in increasing your confidence, competence and knowledge based around the language and culture within Britain.

Our experienced staff are there to guide, support and encourage, challenging you in your thoughts and with theory. They will deliver the programme through a range of interactive sessions and group exercises which will offer a welcoming environment for you to share your experiences. There will be ample time for critical reflection on the use of the English language in various settings.

You will take part in our fieldtrips, which will give you an opportunity to visit local areas of interest and to consolidate your knowledge. This will include a day-trip to Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare. You will also take part in social and cultural visits for all to participate in and to explore your surroundings with new friends.

Entry Requirements

As the programme is delivered in English, you will require a good level of English speaking, reading and writing skills. All participants must be aged 18 or above at the start of this programme.

Please note we are unable to provide flights or visas. You will be responsible for ensuring that these arrangements are made before the course starts.
