Academic Partnership General Student FAQ's

I have received my welcome letter but my date of birth is incorrect, how can this be amended?

Please email correctmydetails.apu@coventry.ac.uk with your student ID number and correct date of birth. The same email address can also be used if you would like to amend the spelling or order of your name(s).

How can I register for IT Services to gain access to e-resources?

You should have received a welcome pack with your Coventry University student ID number and the date of birth we have registered on the system. You will need this information to set up a log in.

I was previously enrolled on a course but I am now receiving an error message when trying to access the e-resources, what can I do?

If the error message states that you are no longer enrolled then please email apu@coventry.ac.uk with ‘e-resources access’ as a subject heading. Please ensure that you state your CU ID number and name in the email to enable us to help you.

I am still receiving an error message but it does not refer to not being enrolled, how can I get access?

Where possible we would like you to send a screenshot of the error message to apu@coventry.ac.uk as this will help us to source the issue and resolve it as soon as possible. It would be very useful if you could also include which e-resources and sites you are trying to visit. Please be advised that due to licensing agreements with certain e-resource providers, you may not be able to access certain documents.

I have received a notification of results letter confirming my award and would like to graduate at Coventry University, how can this be arranged?

Graduation ceremonies are held at Coventry three times per year; April, July and November and you are more than welcome to attend. Students are only permitted to be conferred at one graduation ceremony so you will be unable to attend a ceremony in Coventry if you have already attended one at your partner institution. Conversely, if you decide to be conferred in Coventry you cannot do the same at your partner institution. To register your interest to attend a ceremony at Coventry University, please email apu@coventry.ac.uk.

I require an invitation letter in order to obtain a visa to attend the graduation ceremony, how can I request this?

Please email apu@coventry.ac.uk with the following details:

Full name as it appears on passport

Date of Birth

Passport number

Nationality

We will require the same information for any guests you would like to bring. Invitation letters can be emailed to the address you provide, hard copies will be posted to the administrator at your partner institution for distribution.

How many guests am I allowed to bring to the graduation ceremony?

Graduands are allocated a maximum of two guest tickets each for entrance to Coventry Cathedral where the ceremony will take place. Any additional guests are welcome to visit Coventry and the graduation event will be streamed live from an alternative location on campus for those who cannot get access to the Cathedral.
