Coventry University is one of the select few universities in the UK to provide a dedicated facility for its postgraduate students. The Graduate Centre is designed specifically to meet the needs of postgraduate students, providing a pleasant environment in which to study.
Whether you are a graduate progressing directly to postgraduate study, or you are returning to education to improve your job prospects, or you simply seek the intellectual challenge of higher education, as a Coventry University postgraduate student you are a member of the Graduate Centre.
The Graduate Centre is here to support you throughout your experience at Coventry University, providing top class teaching, learning and social facilities for the exclusive use of our members. Working in partnership with all Faculties, Schools and central departments to enhance your student experience, the staff at the Graduate Centre are committed to delivering a quality service exclusive to our growing postgraduate community.
The reception and support staff will assist members, as far as possible, in the first instance with any general enquiry related to postgraduate academic, administrative and welfare support.
Advice and services provided include:
- information, registration and enrolment for the Global Leaders Programme;
- information on events taking place within the university;
- information about member’s trips and events;
- information about Postgraduate Skills Workshops;
- confirmation letters on student status;
- provision of a range of university forms.
Research students are invited to make use of the Centre as a place to engage with other researchers and mix with staff
Skills workshops for postgraduate students (taught and research) offer a selection of essential workshops throughout the year that complement the academic education you receive within your Faculty/School to enhance your employability skills.
Workshops include IT Skills (Excel, Word), Study Skills (Avoiding Plagiarism, Refworks), Statistics (Maths Support Centre) and Centre for Academic Writing (CAW).
