Undergraduate Open Days

Undergraduate Open Days

At Coventry University we try to give our Open Day visitors as much information as we can about their course or subject area of interest, the student experience that we offer and the graduate career prospects that lie ahead. Our academic and professional staff provide detailed information about our courses, the learning environment and the support services available at the University, as well as the international placement and study opportunities you could take advantage of. And our students are available throughout the day to share with visitors their first-hand experience about studying and living here.

What can I expect to see and do?

  • Find out about your course or subject of interest directly from our academic staff and students. Ask about our course modules, face-to-face tuition time, assessment methods and our system of personal tutors.
  • Understand our approach to teaching and learning and meet lecturers and tutors. Find out about our stimulating, interactive course delivery models, how we link our courses to business and industry and the professional accreditations our courses have.
  • Discover how we support work placements, internships and international experiences for our students. Through the work of the International Experience and Mobility Service (IEMS), all our students get the chance to work or study abroad.
  • Visit the Information Fair in the Square One venue in The Hub. Speak to staff from a wide range of student related services including Accommodation, Careers, Finance, the Students' Union, Sports and many more.
  • Take a good look round the University campus. Our campus and accommodation tours will provide you with the perfect opportunity to get to know the location, setting and facilities we have on our single site city centre campus.
  • Attend a Student Life talk delivered by our friendly Student Ambassadors. Find out first-hand what it's like to study and live in Coventry, what opportunities students can take advantage of, and how they spend their free time on campus.  Other mini presentations, on Careers, International Experience and Sports are also available on the day.
  • Meet lots of people. It’s safe to say that virtual tours and videos are all very well but there’s no substitute for actually visiting a place and meeting the people who will be teaching you, supporting you and maybe even studying with you. It’s also a chance to meet our Recruitment and Admissions staff who will be your main contact point with the University if you apply for a place on a course here.
