About us

About us

The School of Psychological, Social and Behavioural Sciences (PSBS) is comprised of a number of discipline areas including Psychology, Criminology, Social Work, Youth Work, and Community Studies.

The School provides a variety of undergraduate, postgraduate and CPD opportunities in these areas, with an underpinning ethos of social justice.

Our courses are a mixture of theory, laboratory based experiments, workshops and tutorials. At Coventry University we have a strong focus on interaction from examining how people think and interact to studying a range of issues relating to crime, punishment and deviance in society.

We also run a number of field trips, with destinations in previous years including Tokyo, San Francisco, South Africa, Amsterdam and Sri Lanka.

We have developed an international educational and research profile, collaborating with a number of institutions in the UK, Europe and overseas. Our ambitions are to grow and diversify high quality provision that benefits students, research, and industry in the UK and overseas.

Our extensive and successful portfolio of campus-based and online learning opportunities is well placed to respond and deliver to changing national and international markets.
