This postgraduate research (PGR) student Workshop is co-sponsored by the Institute of Measurement and Control and organised jointly by CTAC and the Systems Control Technology Panel (SCTP) as a linked one-day Workshop within the ICSE2009. The aim of the workshop is twofold in that the first half will involve a tutorial on aspects of the key notes of the ICSE conference programme and the second half will involve PGR student poster presentations. A limited number of PGR students registered for the workshop will have the option to attend the ICSE2009 conference free of charge.
Authors of Posters presented at the Workshop will have the option of submitting a full paper for publication in the ICSE proceedings, subject to the normal peer review process (see ICSE submission details). Attendees for the Workshop only, will receive a digest booklet containing material from the tutorial sessions as well as the abstracts of the poster presentations.
The PGR students wishing to participate in the Workshop should submit an abstract of their intended poster by 10 June 2009. Note that those wishing to include a full paper based on their Workshop poster presentation in the ICSE proceedings should submit a full draft paper by 10 July 2009 (see ICSE submission details). Early registration for the Workshop is advised, as numbers are limited. The first 25 registered PGR students will automatically gain access to the full ICSE (excluding Conference Banquet) free of charge. After the 25 places have been taken, the student registration rate for ICSE attendance will apply. Students should provide a letter from their supervisors who can confirm their studentship status. The workshop fee is £150.
