The iPED network ran a series of four workshops on Research Methods In Education.
This series of workshops introduced participants to the concepts of educational research and the variety of methodologies that are appropriate within it. - Workshop 1: Approaches to Educational Research
Tuesday 5 June 1000 – 1230
This workshop provides an overview of Education Research and considers what makes it distinctive as a field of research. Insights will be offered into the nature of Education research and the various approaches that may be adopted. - Workshop 2: An introduction to qualitative data analysis
Tuesday 12 June 1000 – 1300
This workshop will examine different aspects of qualitative analysis taking participants, through a series of activities, from visualising the analysis to data interpretation. - Workshop 3: An Introduction to Computer Assisted Qualitative Data Analysis
Tuesday 19 June 1400-1630
This workshop builds upon Workshop 2 and is a hands-on introduction to computer assisted qualitative data analysis enabling participants to realise the benefits of using software to facilitate the activities involved in qualitative data analysis.
