• Bestows a sense of belonging to a research community and having company to share ideas with.  Our freelance associates find that this is refeshing and gives them day-to-day interaction with other staff that sometimes is missed when self-employed.
• A collegiate atmosphere due to the inclusive and participative working ethos of the team
• Reassurance of working with personnel with research and project management expertise and opportunity to improve your own skills in areas such as: preparation of bids; contracts knowledge; managing client relationships; financial management; marketing; ethics and data protection; methodological and analytical skills – both qualitative/quantitative.
• SURGE's dedicated research staff is on hand.  As an established Applied Reseach Centre SURGE is able to recruit additional staff quickly when needed
