The Project

Crowdfunding can be defined as an alternative way of funding, where a group of people, the crowd, financially contributes small amounts of money to projects, products or ideas. As a relatively new phenomenon, crowdfunding as a field of research is at an early stage of development, providing many opportunities for young researchers to make a mark theoretically, empirically and in the policy domain.

About the Centre/Department

The International Centre for Transformational Entrepreneurship at Coventry University in the UK and IPA-Deakin SME Research Centre at Deakin University in Australia, are seeking expressions of interest from candidates who are interested in pursuing a PhD in either the area of Crowdfunding or social enterprise through these two research centres.
