Automotive systems are becoming increasingly sophisticated. This growth in complexity presents potential opportunities for malicious attackers to attack automotive systems with potential negative implications for safety. My current research into automotive cybersecurity looks at how this can be prevented or mitigated through testing and design best practice in order to ensure that the system is as secure as it could be.
Madeline started her academic career as an Assistant Lecturer in Ethical Hacking and Digital Forensics at Coventry University and specialises in security testing. She is currently completing her PhD in the field of automotive cybersecurity, in collaboration with HORIBA MIRA Ltd. She is a member of the BCS (MBCS), a fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and an AccessData Certified Examiner (ACE).
