Members of the public are invited to join a Remembrance Day service, marking 100 years since the outbreak of the First World War, at Coventry University’s city centre campus on Tuesday 11 November. The service is being held at University Square next to Coventry Cathedral and will begin at 10.50am.

The Dean of Coventry - the Very Reverend John Witcombe - alongside Coventry University Chaplain Reverend Dr Stuart Jennings will be leading the service. They will be joined by colleagues from Coventry Cathedral with representatives from the university and its student body also in attendance.

In this centenary year the service will include a recital of the Coventry Litany of Reconciliation in addition to prayers, the singing of hymns and the traditional two minute silence.

Large numbers are anticipated given the significance of the date but all are welcome to attend.
