Undergraduate students

CU soonMany congratulations on gaining your place at Coventry University. We wish you every success during your time here.

Over the next few weeks, as you prepare to come to University, and when you arrive here, you will receive lots
of advice and information about becoming a student.

UK students will receive an email from the university inviting you to enrol; please follow the instructions and read all the information carefully before completing your enrolment.

We'd also like to remind you to let your parents or guardians know about our Parents' Welcome Event which is on the Saturday of arrivals weekend – it’ll help to get them out of your hair while you’re settling in.

Where to go on your first day

In order to ensure your arrival is as stress-free as possible please ensure that you read carefully the following guidelines for attendance on your first day. If you are an International student, please see the pages on Enrolment and Induction for International Students.

Your induction timetable will let you know where you will need to go on your first day. These timetables are subject to change so please be sure to print your up to date induction timetable so that you know where to go on your first day. If you arrive late, please report to the main reception in the relevant faculty building:

  • Faculty of Engineering and Computing – Engineering and Computing Building;
  • Faculty of Health and Life Sciences – Richard Crossman Building;
  • School of Art and Design – Graham Sutherland Building;
  • Faculty of Business Environment and Society – Jaguar Building Business Reception (first floor).

See a location map of the faculty buildings (also available as a pdf download).

IMPORTANT – ONLINE ENROLMENT. Due to maintenance work at the University, emails to new students about online enrolment will now be sent out from 9 September onwards. Please wait until 15 September before contacting enrol@coventry.ac.uk if you have not received yours.

Financial help

We know that coming to University can be an expensive time and, aside from accommodation and course fees, there are so many other things you need to budget for. That's why we've introduced No Hidden Extras which we feel makes it that bit easier for students at the beginning of the academic year when outgoings are high. For example, we supply all essential core texts free of charge. Follow the link for more details about what you are eligible for.

Other useful information

For information about when and where to collect your accommodation key, we will have details available on our Key Collection page nearer the start of term. As soon as you have collected your accommodation key on the 20th and 21st September you can come and collect your ID card from the Student Centre. The Student Centre will be open Saturday 20th September 10.00am - 6.00pm and Sunday 21st September 11.00am - 5.00pm.

This academic year's term dates.
