Professor Olivier Sparagano
Olivier has responsibility for research ethics, European research strategy and for the Research Office at the University which includes funding, development, support, finance and compliance. His own research areas are vector-borne diseases, animal health, vaccine development and molecular diagnostics. Olivier was previously professor of health and biotechnology and associate dean for research and innovation at Northumbria University at Newcastle. He has worked in France, Scotland and the Netherlands. He is a chartered biologist, a fellow of the Royal Entomological Society, Society of Biology and an associate member of the Royal Society of Chemistry. Olivier is president of the Society of Tropical Veterinary Medicine.
