Dr Chris Hiley

Course Director and Senior Lecturer - Forensic Investigations

Chris started his career in Pathology as Senior Biomedical Scientist at University Hospital North Staffordshire where he obtained a PhD from Keele University. Chris obtained LLB (Hons) Law at Staffordshire University and became a Solicitor specialising in Commercial Litigation and Insolvency.

Prior to joining Coventry University Chris worked in the Official Receiver’s Public Interest Unit in Manchester (investigating VAT Fraud and Company Directors) and was also a part time Lecturer in Law at Keele University.  Chris is also Module Leader for Fraud Investigation, Civil and Criminal Law and the Careers Modules.

Chris’s research interests are in Social Media Investigation and the financial abuse of the elderly.
