The head of multimedia journalism at the BBC is just one of a long list of media professionals coming to Coventry University this year to talk about his job.

Peter Clifton is the current Head of Editorial Development, Multimedia Journalism at the BBC. Basically, he is the person in charge of on-demand developments across the corporation’s output for News, Sport and Weather.

He will be taking part in a Coventry Conversation on Thursday 21 January at 3pm at the University’s Ellen Terry Building.

John Mair, series creator said:

“News today has to be accessible to the public in every form and with today’s viewers and listeners needing to get information 24 hours a day, it is up to people like Peter to make sure the mechanisms are in place to do that.

“Peter is responsible for the design and delivery of the news and sport websites and international editions as well as local websites, mobile and red button services. We are living in a media-hungry age and it is Peter who has to make sure his services can keep up with the demand.”

The talk takes place in Room ETG 34 of the Ellen Terry Building, Jordan Well at 3pm (note the time). Entry is free and everyone welcome.
