The Coventry Conversations series at Coventry University continues to attract the biggest media names; the latest is Nigel Chapman, Head of the BBC’s World Service who is coming to converse on Thursday 28 February.

Nigel’s ’world’ encompasses the best known and most trusted arm of the BBC worldwide.

For seventy five years the World Service has been broadcasting through war and peace to audiences far and wide, sometimes to countries which did not welcome its message.

John Mair, the organiser of Coventry Conversations said:

"Telling the unvarnished truth has made the BBC World Service the most trusted news service around the globe. Even today, those living under repressive regimes can turn to BBC World Radio or TV for objective reporting. Nigel Chapman will tell us how it has all been achieved.

"We are honoured that he is taking time out from his very busy international schedule to come to Coventry. Anyone with an interest in international affairs are welcome."

Nigel Chapman’s talk: "The world as I see it" takes place on Thursday 28 February at 1pm in the Ellen Terry Building, Room ETG 34.

The talk is free and open to the public.
