Description 

Solihull College’s University Centre offers aeronautical courses in collaboration with Coventry University, a Top 12 UK University.

In partnership with Coventry University, Solihull College offer a HND and BSc Top Up in Aircraft Maintenance. Courses are delivered in an impressive, newly developed Centre for Advanced Aeronautical Provision where students have access to a Jetstream Mk 2 aircraft, brand new 737 flight simulator and other specialist industry-standard equipment.

Course Entry requirements Intake

HNC/HND Aircraft Maintenance (2 years Level 4 and Level 5)

For the HNC, applicants must hold:

  • A minimum of 80 UCAS tariff points, including two full A levels or equivalent for part-time entry onto HNC in conjunction with an industry relevant job role, OR
  • BTEC Diploma with 80 UCAS tariff points (PP) for entry onto part-time HNC including Mathematics and English performance equivalent to grade C GCSE and an industry relevant job role, OR
  • Appropriate Foundation/Access qualification where the standard achieved is deemed equivalent to the above and an industry relevant job role
  • English requirement: Non-native English speakers will require an IELTS score of 5.5 or TOEFL score of 550/213

For the HND, applicants must have successfully completed the HNC.

BSc Top Up Aircraft Maintenance (1 year Level 6)

HND Aircraft Maintenance Engineering approved by Coventry University. Similar level 5 qualifications such as HNDs or Foundation Degrees may be considered if the learning outcomes are equivalent September
