Language Courses


Beginners

Content & Aim: speaking, listening, reading and writing Chinese about daily life topics; be able to greet, talk about yourself and one’s family, order food & drinks, hold a basic conversation on age, nationality etc

How: pronunciation - Chinese tones, Pinyin and basic grammar 


Post-Beginners

Content & Aim: Chinese culture themed lessons, expand vocabulary to master 60-80 Chinese characters and hold a simple conversation with Chinese people on useful life topics

How: reading & writing as a focus, while improving listening and speaking skills 


Intermediate

Content & Aim: Be able to satisfy basic daily transactional needs by using predominantly simple sentences, such as talking with a taxi driver, booking tickets and hotel rooms, communicating in travel related situations, seeking in different situations; expand vocabulary to master 120-150 Chinese characters

How: reading & writing as a focus, while improving listening and speaking skills 


Business Language and Culture - Beginners

Content & Aim: listening, speaking, reading and writing Chinese about basic business topics; study pronunciation and how to conduct the most basic conversations in business activities; understand very short and simple business texts

How: pronunciation - Chinese tones, Pinyin and basic grammar




HSK Courses


HSK 1

Content & Aim: preparation for undertaking the HSK 1 certificate of Chinese language proficiency.  Be able to speak with confidence, understand frequently-used sentences and expressions related to Chinese real life, acquire 80 Chinese characters and master HSK Level 1 grammar

How: conversation, grammar and knowledge of basic Chinese characters and Pinyin


HSK 2

Content & Aim: preparation for undertaking the HSK 2 certificate of Chinese language proficiency.  Be able to speak with confidence, understand frequently-used sentences and expressions related to Chinese real life, acquire 150 Chinese characters and master HSK Level 2 grammar

How: conversation, grammar and knowledge of basic Chinese Characters and Pinyin


HSK 3

Content & Aim: preparation for undertaking the HSK 3 certificate of Chinese language proficiency.  Be able to speak with confidence, understand frequently-used sentences and expressions related to Chinese real life, acquire 300 Chinese characters and master HSK Level 3 grammar

How: conversation, grammar and knowledge of simple Chinese Characters and Pinyin


HSK 5

Content & Aim: preparation for undertaking the HSK 5 certificate of Chinese language proficiency.  Be able to improve language skills from vocabulary to grammar points, from listening ability to writing ability and acquire the skills to answer the test questions by a series of practice tests, acquire 2400 Chinese characters

How:  grammar, passage reading, writing and test practice
