The aim of this module is to expose students to appropriate methods of applied research and approaches to practical computer interface design. The module stresses the importance of the concepts of user involvement, iteration and research based design in contemporary rapid systems development, with a particular focus on e-commerce and internet systems

This module builds on the concepts and skills acquired in Digital Media Technology 1 and aims to support students’ development of integrative skills in multiple source content creation through the consideration of contemporary delivery technologies including streaming media, DVD systems as well as mobile and pervasive devices.

204CR Logo204CR Digital Media Technology 1

This module focuses on the theory and practice of time based content creation in digital media. Students will be introduced to a variety of applications for the development of sound, video and animation. Upon completion of the course, students shall be able to create these elements for distribution in a variety of stand alone or networked formats.

This module uses a suitably equipped laboratory for practical work. The multimedia facilities are such that the capture and management of video and audio is supported.Students will be encouraged to critically reflect on and evaluate their own and others work and assessment will take account of these reflections.
