- various areas in maths (algebraic topology, differential topology, geometry, knot theory---roughly speaking, anything where you get to draw pictures)
- genetics and evolutionary biology
- quantum physics
- philosophy (mostly of science)
- formal methods in computing science
- logic and computability
- ancient (and pre-) history
- language and linguistics
and I wish I knew something about
- neural nets and that stuff
- complex adaptive systems and emergent order
- cognitive science
- fuzzy maths
- everything else.
