Binomial Distributions

The Binomial Distributions workbook is introduced with an example using a
fixed number of trials. It shows how the distribution changes as the value
of p, the probability of a success, is altered.
The distribution is then illustrated using a simulation of a realistic
situation: letters arriving in a sorting office.
Finally the spreadsheet shown enables students to visually compare up to
three Binomial distributions with different values of n and p.
Comparing Binomial distributions
The Workbook BINO.XLS contains:
- Binomial distributions with n=10
- Sorting Office simulation
- Comparing Binomial distributions
The accompanying Workcard is available in BINO.DOC.
