Raj
Bali is a Reader in Healthcare Knowledge Management with
the Faculty of Engineering and Computing at Coventry
University, specialising in Organisational
Behaviour, Knowledge and Change Management. He is the founder and leader
of the Knowledge
Management for Healthcare (KARMAH) research
subgroup. Prior to this he undertook
research at Sheffield Hallam
University in the School of Engineering
(in close collaboration with
an industrial host) on IT-driven
organisational culture change.
He
holds a BSc(Hons) degree in Technology
Management and a MSc in Computer-Based
Information Systems from the
University of Sunderland. In
1999, he was awarded a PhD from
Sheffield Hallam University for
his thesis "Successful Technology
Management: Cultural and Organisational
Dimensions of MIS implementations
in SMEs", which led to several
publications (conference proceedings
and journal). He is a Senior
Member of the IEEE. His involvement
with the IEEE resulted in an
appointment as Publications Chair
for the ITAB
conference. Additionally,
he has Biographical Entries in Whos
Who in the World" (Marquis
International, 2003-) and Whos
Who in Finance and Business" (Marquis
International, 2005-). He is an Invited Reviewer for the Journal of Managerial Psychology, the International
Conference of the Academy of Management and for Financial Times Management
(Pearson Education) Publishers. His
primary research interests are
the effects of organisational
behaviour, structure and culture
on clinical and healthcare applications.
Secondary interests include technology
transfer and innovation, film
as a teaching resource, bullying
in the workplace, management
of information systems and small
to medium sized enterprises.
