This course is offered to give flexibility to both students and companies to put together a series of modules totally appropriate to the needs of the student or the company. The Postgraduate Centre academic staff assist students in selecting appropriate modules.

Teaching and Learning Resources
Courses are taught in our excellent Graduate and CPD centre, which provides first rate classroom and social facilities particularly designed for part-time students who may be coming to study after work.
Classes are taught by academics with a long track record of working with part-time students and who bring in leading industry experts wherever that is possible. The University Library is only a short walk from the Graduate and CPD centre and therefore very easy to access either before or after class and at weekends.
Entry requirements
You will normally be expected to have an honours degree but entry qualifications are flexible for mature candidates with industrial experience. We are always willing to talk to you about your experience and look at how that may be credited against the academic requirements of certain programmes.
Course content
This course has been designed with the industrial part-time delegate in mind, indeed we talked with our partners when developed the material. Each course consists of 8 taught modules, study skills, research methods and a project. The modules are studied in ablock mode, one module at a time. This means that you focus on one subject and complete it before moving on to the next.
Attendance can be part-time day, or part-time evening, with 35 hours (MSc) contact time in total pre module. The evening modules are delivered only to part-time delgates which gives great opportunity to share experiences and network between other industries.
Part-time day attendance: 2 week delivery with a total of ten 1/2 day lecture sessions per module
Part-time evening attendance: 2 evenings per week, 6 weeks per module
You will normally study for 3 years with an optional exit point at the end of each year.

A study skills and research methods module is taught throughout the programme.
