CU Scarborough, part of the Coventry University Group, will welcome 400 students to the new academic year and six new degree courses, just one year after opening its state-of-the art campus.

This academic year also sees a range of new courses launched at CU Scarborough including Health & Social Care, Primary Education & Teaching, Business Management & Leadership, Law & Practice LLB, Computing Science and Cyber Security.

In the run-up to the new term, students attended an Induction Day and Freshers’ Fair which allowed new students to meet with tutors to find out more about their courses as well as join in the extra-curricular activities on offer.

The new academic year also marks an important milestone for the Coventry University Group offering, as CU Scarborough and CU Coventry are joined by the new CU London site, based in Dagenham.

The opening of CU London signifies the beginning of a unique coastal, city and capital offering for Coventry University. For a limited number of degrees students are able to stay on exactly the same course and switch between the North Yorkshire coast, the city of Coventry and the UK’s capital.

We are delighted to welcome both new and existing students for the next academic year.

It was just 12 months ago that we opened our state-of-the-art building, and we have been going from strength to strength ever since.

It is excellent that we have expanded the range of courses on offer this year, and this has been reflected in our growing student numbers.

We look forward to welcoming students from CU Coventry and CU London who choose to complete their degree in Scarborough.

Professor Craig Gaskell, Associate Pro-Vice-Chancellor of CU Scarborough
