International Hospitality and Tourism Management MSc

OVERVIEW

This course runs at Coventry University London Campus in October 2015 and January 2016. The continual growth of the travel industry on a global scale has seen an increasing demand for senior specialists with advanced skills, able to set agendas and direct policies towards a sustainable future for the tourism sector.

The MSc International Hospitality and Tourism aims to provide students with an opportunity at an advanced level to explore issues relating to a wide range of situations facing the industry.

The course has been designed in partnership with industry employers to provide a set of robust and rigorous analyses of tourism activity, incorporating the latest and most significant developments and practice within the study area.

Ranging from hotels and resorts management to holiday parks, tour operators and event management, International Hospitality and Tourism are two of the world’s fastest growing industries.

Developed in partnership with industry to provide a set of rigorous and industry-relevant analytical tools that equip students for leadership and management positions in the global hospitality and tourism industries.

  • Understanding financial reporting
  • International hospitality and tourism marketing

  • Global HRM strategies
  • Strategic operations management in hospitality and tourism

  • Organisation internship or consulting project or dissertation

HOW WILL THIS COURSE BE TAUGHT?

MSc programmes are delivered over four terms of 10 weeks. 

All students study five core management modules, four mandatory modules and an internship, consulting project or dissertation.

You will be assigned a personal tutor who will be able to review and discuss your progress and offer advice throughout your studies.

Entry Requirements

Essential Entry Requirements:

To be accepted for the programme students must possess a second class honours degree (2:2) or above.

English as a foreign language: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent. 

No work experience required.
