After originally managing the band Young Hood (YGHD), Alex wanted to look for new and creative ways to continue working with music. It was this desire to explore the music industry which led to the creation of; Alex Records UK; a new and exciting record label that would keep Alex’s passion for music alive.
Being the ambitious type Alex hopes to not only expand his record label in the UK market through signing more artists and organising more events, but he also hopes to expand the business on a global scale. Alex commented on his future for the label:
I would like to first dominate the American market and create Alex Records USA, then moving onto Australia to create Alex Records Australia.
Alex is currently studying BA (Hons) Management and Leadership at Coventry University College. He discussed how his course has benefited his business:
It has not only helped me run the business in a more professional manner but studying at CUC has helped me improve my organisational skills. My confidence has also grown substantially as well as my knowledge and understanding of the subject area. This in turn has helped me when planning meetings with producers and potential artists.
