We also have an Outdoor facility based at Westwood Heath, about five miles from the city centre Sport Centre, here you can enjoy a game of football, cricket or rugby on the astro turf and pitches. At Westwood Heath, we also have The Place which is available to hire for meetings, conferences, corporate events or that special occasion!
Whether it's for fun, to get fit or to meet new people, we have a range of activities to suit everyone. Why not participate in recreational sport purely for enjoyment or if you are more serious about your chosen sport, then we can help to improve your performance.
Dame Carol Black, the National Director for Health and Work visited the University and gave her lecture in July.
The Workplace Wellbeing Applied Research Group put on a Gala Day at the outdoor sports facility based in Westwood Heath. The event went really well with many VIP's from businesses around the Coventry area along with participants from the first Workplace Wellbeing Fitness Challenge.

The London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games provide a once in a lifetime opportunity to engage everyone in sport and physical activity, changing attitudes, habits and perceptions to encourage everyone to have their own olympic moment. For some this could mean making the team in 2012 to represent Team GB, but for many others this could simply mean being the best they can be and taking part in a sporting or physically related activity.
