The service is here to help you with any aspect of your career planning. This might be, for instance:
Each school or faculty has its own specialist careers adviser, with whom you can have an informal discussion about anything to do with your career or employability. We‘ll inform you of their contact details once you have enrolled.
We also have a more generic careers advice and information service at the Student Centre. To make an appointment just ring 027 7615 2525 or call in.
Graduation might seem quite some time away but it’s never too early to start your career planning. If you want to use your degree subject specifically you could take a look at Options with your subject.
On the other hand, lots of employers don’t specify a particular degree discipline, so you might want to do some online self analysis and occupational exploration using Prospects Planner – an online career planning tool.
You are, of course, very welcome to discuss any of this further with one of our careers advisers or information advisers.
Another useful resource, compiled specifically for Coventry University students, is our Virtual Careers Library. We also have a Careers Information Centre on the ground floor of the Student Centre. If you have any factual enquiries about any area of you career planning or exploration, please contact one of the Information Advisers in the Careers Information Centre, telephone 027 7615 3031 or email careers.ss@coventry.ac.uk.
Once you have been issued with a username and password at enrolment you’ll be able to access the Careers and Student Employability Portal, which contains links to all the above facilities and much more.
