Thinking about going onto Dragons Den?
1. If your idea derives from your University study/work, it is legally owned by the University and you should therefore disclose their idea to the IPR team via the IP Disclosure Process (http://www.coventry.ac.uk/cu/d/1330/a/3628) either to obtain support, IP protection or to arrange reassignment
2. Their idea must be ‘business ready’ – the Dragons Den team are unlikely to shortlist it if it is not.
3. You should seek advice from the IPR team (via ipr@coventry.ac.uk)
Skipping the Light Fantastic
Former University students Su and Martin Adam have built 2 working prototype skipping ropes which generate moving images.
The clear plastic rope has light emitting diodes throughout its length creating an image. The image is input through a USB port in the handle from a computer, images created can be viewed at

The University is now in a position to offer manufacturer/s a licence to take this technology to market. For further discussions please contact Brian More on 070974984928
