iPED Research Network

Inquiring Pedagogies (iPED) Research Network

Are you currently undertaking research into teaching and learning or would like to develop your skills in this area? If so the iPED Research Network can support you.

iPED's focus is on ensuring that inquiry is at the heart of teaching and learning at Coventry University by:

  • Developing understanding and practice through pedagogic inquiry
  • Providing a focus on the development and evaluation of curricula that emphasise inquiry

iPED Network Events

To support this activity, the network runs a series of events:

  • Inquiring with the Experts Seminars: providing an opportunity to meet central figures who are currently influencing higher education policy and practice, with time to debate their ideas.
  • Reading Groups Forum: a community of practice where members support each other in their efforts to engage in pedagogical research and increase publications' output.
  • Academic Writing Retreats: residential retreats held away from the University, providing a supported environment for individuals to focus on their academic writing for publication.

Research and Evaluation Resources

iPED provides a number of practical guides for beginners and for those in the process of selecting research and analytical techniques to address their particular research aims and objectives.
