AAT Level 3 – Costs & Revenues

OVERVIEW

AAT Level 3 – Costs & Revenues

WHAT WILL I LEARN?

AATLevel3Costs&Rev_2The Costs and Revenues unit helps you understand the fundamental principles that underpin costing methodology and techniques. It shows you how costs are handled within organisations, and why different organisations treat costs in different ways. You’ll also learn how to recognise different approaches and make informed decisions about the most effective costing techniques.

HOW WILL THIS COURSE BE TAUGHT?

This unit consists of the following topics:

  • Identifying why cost-accounting is an important tool for an organisation,
  • different approaches to cost accounting and making informed and reasoned judgements to guide management and help decision making.

HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?

For each module you will need to meet all the learning outcomes and assessment criteria, most of which are measured using formal online tests marked automatically and with provisional results available to view straight away.

Not every assessment is an online test some use other computer-administered methods, including projects, reports or workplace evidence.  These types of assessments, including some of the online tests, which are extended written questions, are marked by hand with the results available up to and including six weeks later.
