Welcome to the website for the UK MHD 2009 meeting. The meeting will be held at Coventry University in the
Sir John Laing
Building (Please note the change of venue).
Keynote speaker
Prof Malcolm Haines, Imperial College, London
"Ion viscous heating in a magnetohydrodynamically unstable Z-pinch at over 2 billion Kelvin"
Presentations will start at 9:00 on Wednesday, 3rd June and end at 15:45
on Thursday, 4rd June. Talks will be limited to 12 minutes + 3 minutes
for questions. Poster sessions will take place during coffee breaks.

A Mediaeval Banquet will be held
on June 3 at the historical
Coombe Abbey
Hotel. The Abbey was founded in 1150 by Cistercian monks and boasts beautiful historical
buildings and 500 acres of breathtaking parkland. You will be armed with a
dagger and bib and served a delicious dinner accompanied by a show including
songs, dance and comedy.

Registration and payment
Participation fee for the meeting is: £50 (£30 for Research Students).
The fee covers two lunches and the mediaeval dinner. The fee is
payable by cash on-site, during registration; cards or cheques are not accepted.
